Community Events

St. Louis Parish Picnic – St. Louis parishioners and school families enjoy a picnic in Memory Square Park the last Sunday of August to celebrate the feast day of St. Louis and the beginning of a new school year. The Knights of Columbus provide hot dogs and burgers for all.

Louisville Labor Day Parade – This parade on Main Street in Louisville has been an annual tradition for 87 years. Students and families decorate and ride on the St. Louis float and toss candy to onlookers.  It is a tradition not to be missed.

Grandparents’ Day – Grandparents and special Grand friends are invited to spend the morning at St. Louis School with their grandchildren. The day begins with grandparents and students attending Mass followed by a short musical performance.  Grandparents are then invited to visit the classrooms and enjoy refreshments.  This event takes place in September.

Race for Education – Students participate in a race in October to raise money for St. Louis. It is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year.  The money raised is used for improvements to classrooms, teacher supplies, subscriptions and many other necessities.

Fall Festival – The St. Louis Fall Festival takes places at the end of October. The whole Parish is invited to this fun filled event.  Games, food and entertainment are provided, and families can enjoy spending time with St. Louis friends.

Barnes and Noble Book Fair – The book fair takes place at the Barnes and Noble bookstore in Boulder on November 12, just in time for the holidays. A percentage of all book sales is donated back to St. Louis. Books can also be ordered online.

St. Louis Musical – Students from all grade levels participate in the Fall musical every other year.  The next musical will be in the fall of 2024.

Louisville Parade of Lights – This holiday parade has been a tradition in Louisville for over thirty years. Students and families are invited to join in the parade on the first Friday in December.  Participants meet back at the school for a cup of hot cocoa and Christmas caroling.

Angel Gala – A St. Louis community celebration and fundraiser that takes place in the spring. Families and friends enjoy dinner, games, a silent and live auction and dancing too!
