Spanish. Music. Art. Athletics.

Students expand their creativity and exercise their bodies and minds by participating in a wide selection of specials classes that include art, music, physical education, computer instruction, Spanish and library use.

Art and music foster creativity skills needed to solve problems and help students see other subjects in a new light. Art, music, and physical education allow students to explore their creativity, self-worth, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and cultural awareness.

Athletic Program

Sports strip
Twice a week, our students participate in physical education classes. Students are given opportunities to learn a variety of sports and participate in games while working on staying active and healthy. We feel that sportsmanship is an important aspect of our physical education program. Our After-school Athletic Program offers fall, winter, and spring sports to boys and girls grades 3-8. Our sports include spirit team, cross country, basketball, volleyball, and baseball. Students may also participate in golf and bowling tournaments.

Our school competes against other Catholic schools through the Catholic Schools Athletic League (CSAL). The CSAL is designed to contribute to the health, well-being, citizenship, and character development of the youth of the League. The mission of the Catholic Schools Athletic League, in partnership with parents, coaches, and volunteers is to offer elementary school students the opportunity to grow in virtue, develop their full potential and become a more committed disciple of Jesus Christ. Students at all levels of ability are encouraged to participate

Students in grades 5-8 must register at CSAL for all sports.  Visit the CSAL Website.

The Widget League (grades 3-4) must register through St. Louis School.

Music Program

Our school music program includes band, tone chime choir, and choral programs.  At St. Louis School our music education program strives to build skills and knowledge. Our curriculum explores melody, rhythm, form, expression, timbre, texture, harmony, and music appreciation. Through vocal development and introduction to pitched and non-pitched percussion instruments, students develop an appreciation for styles and genres of music from many different cultures.

¡Bienvenido! The Spanish curriculum at St. Louis Catholic School provides once a week exposure to a foreign language for all grades from kindergarten through eighth grade.

The curriculum is based on vocabulary, cultural awareness, speaking, reading, and writing skills at each grade level taking into consideration the different levels of competency among the students. Activities such as games, songs, dances, and instructional media are used to keep the students interested.  In keeping with Catholic religious tradition at St. Louis School, the Spanish class incorporates Catholic prayers, feast days, holidays, and traditions as part of the Spanish class activities.
