Hi, my name is Angie McCann.  I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1987.  I have been a part of the St. Louis family for 14 years with the past five years teaching Kindergarten and Junior K.  I have been blessed to teach in Catholic schools for 30 years now.

I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to learn. It is my honor and privilege to help my  Junior Kindergarten children grow in faith and  knowledge. I love seeing the lightbulbs go off in their heads when they get or understand a concept. The ability to share my faith with my students and to pray with them is very important to me.  Educating the mind is a great gift, but helping feed my student’s hearts and souls gives me great joy.  I feel that it allows me to be a more complete teacher, and that my students are more completely educated and developed as young people of God.  My Philosophy of teaching is:

I believe that the children should be taught in a loving environment where they are able to develop to their full potential.  Learning should be exciting and fun for the students.  I hope to teach most by my example of living a Christian life.  This is why I choose to teach in a Catholic School.
