Hi, my name is Andrea White and I teach Middle School Religion and Language Arts, as well as acting as the 8th Grade Homeroom Advisor.  This will be my 10th year teaching.  I graduated from Illinois State University in 1993 and taught at the Middle School level at St. Matthew Catholic School in Glendale Heights, Illinois for five years.  I then moved to Colorado and taught at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School for four years.  I took some time off work to be at home with my children when they were young.  I have also worked in the business world in which I had the opportunity to work in an international setting.  However, my first love is teaching which brings me back to where I am today.

I believe that all children can be successful academically.  It is my job to find the learning style that best fit each individual child.  I also believe that teachers must teach to the child’s interests and strengths.  As a teacher I am acutely aware that I am not just teaching the child academics but also the social and emotional skills that are fundamentally necessary to become a successful student in High School, College and later in the work place.  It truly is my pleasure and honor that I am able to work with your children.  “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” Aristotle.
